With the threat of thunderstorms early and 40 mph gusts, 4 boats
launched at 5:40am to fish
the 2nd tnx of the year.
The high winds discouraged long trips and many of the club
anglers stayed close in Mattawoman.
Flipping docks with whooly beavertails, crankbaits on the gravel
beds, Rat-L-Traps, Sencos, and Carolina
rigged baffle worms on grass beds were productive. In the end, Tom brought 5 fish to the
scale to secure his 2nd win and lunker. Ken edged new member Mike E. to take
2nd place. Ken and
Mike both brought 3 fish to the weigh in. The club caught 17 fish total.
