September 25, 2010 Gunpowder River

Tournament # 6 in the Gunpowder started at 6:30am out of Joppatowne.  Most of the club started at the same point, fishing the grass mats, while William and Gary fished the Quarry.  Chris scored early as he reeled in a bass on his 2nd cast, but this did not set the pace for the day.  The day was tough.  The rest of the anglers found their hard earned bass in the Quarry.  Tom and Ken established a wood/spinnerbait pattern midday.  Two of these bass were caught back to back from the same log.  The biggest fish caught in the tnx was not a bass, but a catfish caught by Tom, which he estimated to weigh about 10-lbs.

Not including the catfish, Tom weighed in 3 fish for a total of 5.90 lbs.  Gary won lunker and placed 2nd with a single 2.97 pound bass, followed by Chris in 3rd place
